    I’ve been selling innovation in oil and gas for 25 years, I can’t think of anywhere harder to do this. the culture of ain’t broke don’t fix it, we’ve always done it this way and we’re making money like this and I don’t want to be the first… leaves us nowhere in terms of innovation and a bright future for this industry in canada. Our bright future lies in us making a commitment to be the best and that requires radical innovation, disruptive innovation, constant innovation (an attitude of if it ain’t broke, then break it and figure out how to fix it. Which is what the best in the world do in other industries.

      You’re not alone in that assessment. The problem is that “innovation” could lead to “failure” which could be catastrophic for the company. Therefore, innovation must be largely derisked before it can be accepted.
